Alan is the founder and Managing Director of tmr.today. 

Alan established tmr.today to assist organisations to think today about the solutions they need to compete in tomorrow’s ever increasingly competitive and demanding marketplace. Alan advises businesses through a combination of consulting assignments, professional coaching and board leadership roles.

Alan has over 35 years industry experience in the UK, Bermuda, Canada, Mainland China and Hong Kong, specialising in the areas of executive management, strategy development, new markets & business development, transformation & change management, innovation, M&A execution and Board leadership.  

Until 2019, Alan was the CEO of Standard Life's Asia & Emerging Markets business enabling the expertise to lead high performing teams across cultural boundaries, work with listed-company senior stakeholders and develop the experience to establish highly effective board and governance practices.  

Alan brings extensive experience in leading top teams and working closely with senior stakeholders, and is now utilising these skills to provide professional coaching services to individuals, teams and organisations.
